HOUSING & TRANSPORTATION

In prior reunions, there were rooms available at Westminster Choir College and Rider University. These places are not offering their dormitories for our use this year. We will be offering two different housing options for our 30th Reunion:
  • On Campus Rooms
  • Local Hotel (Crowne Plaza Princeton)
On Campus Rooms
There will be very limited on campus housing available at Butler College (our ’85 United 30th Reunion HQ).  You will be able to reserve these beds on a first-come, first-served basis when you register for Reunions.  These beds are very limited, and we expect these beds to sell out very quickly, so plan to register early if you want to stay on campus at Butler College. The cost is $125 per bed for the entire weekend (Thursday-Sunday).

We will also compile a small waiting list for on campus housing.  However, we only anticipate an additional 15-20 possible beds.  Therefore, even if you sign up on the waiting list, we strongly recommend that you make alternate housing arrangements that can be cancelled when the final on campus housing allotment is determined.

Crowne Plaza - (609) 936-4200
We have also reserved a block of rooms at the Crowne Plaza Princeton (under "Princeton University Class of 1985"), at 900 Scudders Mill Road in Plainsboro, NJ.  The rate is $399 per room, per night, excluding applicable taxes.  There is a campus shuttle which runs at (almost) all hours throughout reunions to take people to and from the Crowne Plaza and the other Route 1 hotels.  You will need to contact the Crowne Plaza directly at 609-936-6624 to request the transfer of one or more of these rooms to your name and credit card. You will need to reserve early as these rooms will be on a first come, first serve basis. Any un-reserved rooms will be released after March 1, 2015.

The University also publishes a more extensive list of area lodging you may consider.  The University provides a free shuttle service (a schedule will be available soon through the Reunion Travel Portal) to and from most area hotels (they mark those they serve on their area lodging housing list).

Transportation
The University provides information about getting to reunions through the Reunion Travel Portal on their website. Other transportation options covered by the University or your reunion committee include the shuttle service (we pay a portion of the total cost to enable our classmates to partake of this convenience).  The University posts a shuttle service schedule closer to the actual reunion.

Golf carts are also available for the use of classmates who would otherwise have trouble completing the P-rade route on their own.  Classmates must rent the golf carts themselves and notify us of their plans to use them. The link to the online registration form for classmates to order a cart can be accessed by clicking here

Golf cart rentals are only intended for Reunions attendees with mobility issues. The Alumni Association prefers orders submitted online, but will also accept orders over the phone. They have a limited number of golf carts reserved for alumni rentals and orders will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Attendees have the option of ordering a 2-seat or 4-seat cart for all of Reunions or for use in the P-rade only.

The University will again provide a transport service for alumni and guests called Reunions Rover. Student driven golf carts will make continuous intra-campus loops with stops at headquarters sites and program locations throughout Reunions weekend. This service is intended for attendees who might need a lift!
